Prevention tools

Traditional antivirus software can only identify around half of all threats. They work by comparing harmful signatures, or pieces of code, to a database that contributors update whenever a new malware signature is discovered. The issue is that malware that hasn’t been identified yet, or malware that hasn’t been recognized yet, isn’t in the database. Between the moment a piece of malware is released into the wild and the time it is recognized by typical antivirus software, there is a time lag.

Replication management

Replication is a distributed database strategy that stores several copies of a data table at separate locations. The burden of preserving data consistency, especially during update operations, is one of the drawbacks of having many copies in multiple locations.

Replication control measures must be used to preserve mutually consistent data across all sites. We have a replication control method called Synchronous Replication Control.

Synchronous Replication Control is the process when data is copied from the client server to the model server and then replicated to all replica servers before the client is told that the data has been replicated. This approach takes longer to verify than the asynchronous replication, but it gives you the assurance that all data has been copied before proceeding.

Partitioning management

Partition management refers to the process of partitioning a hard drive. Whereas the physics of partition management vary depending on the tools used by IT pros, the ultimate result is the same: operating and file systems will handle the various sections of auxiliary storage you create as if they were their own devices.

A partition table is used in this operation. The partition table records the size, position, and type of each partition when users use partition management tools to create, remove, or otherwise alter partitions inside a storage device. The operating system then checks the partition table to determine the partitions’ provisions and where particular data and files should be written.

Database configuration
